Neighborhood Clean-up & Beautification, Sat. April 21, 2012

Hi Neighbors...

It's Earth Day on April 21. BOHO will be having a community clean-up in the morning starting at 9:30 AM (meeting at Calvary Church on the corner of Benteen and Hamilton.

We are looking for beautification projects we can do beyond picking up litter. Please suggest.

Some ideas:

Work around the community garden

Dig out the bus stop on Confederate at Edie

Weed and plant flowers at the Boulevard Heights sign on Confederate

Also, we will be collecting tires for the annual District 1 Tire roundup. Please talk to your neighbors who might have tires to dispose. We need to get as many tires out of the 'hood as possible. This is a once a year opportunity.

Finally, we will be collecting e-waste for recycling. You can leave your ewaste in front of your house on Saturday, the 21st and we will collect.

If anyone is able to volunteer a pick-up truck for the event, that would be great.

We need a big turn-out of volunteers so we can really make a difference in the neighborhood this year. Please mark the date on your calendar.
